delivering world-class education. Joining the Tate Family requires a once-off enrolment
levy which supports the ongoing development of our curriculum and school facilities.
There is also a yearly maintenance levy to ensure the upkeep of our learning spaces,
contributing to the excellence we provide.

Registration, Admission & Offer
The IGCSE Course (Grade 10 & Grade 11) lasts 18 months.
Compulsory subjects include:
- Registration Enquiry: Registrations must be done by completing the online contact form. You will then be contacted by the school.
- Previous Reports: The registration procedure requires that you submit and attach reports from previous schools, therapists, psychologists and psychiatrists. Our systems are compliant with the data and information privacy requirements of the various acts of South Africa and as stipulated.
- Parents/Guardian Meeting: Meeting with the Principal so that all questions can be answered.
- Admission Assessment: Admission process includes an interview with the child’s parents. In addition, the child will spend three days visiting Tate International School. During this period we will assess your child and ascertain that the child will cope with the standard of the Cambridge aligned curriculum.
- Offers are subject to: (i) An internal report from the teachers following the 3-day assessment of your child, (ii) A review of the submitted historic reports and subsequent discussion with the school principal, should it be required, (iii) availability in the applied for grade, (iv) Admission fees being paid, (v) Final Discretionary approval by the Executive Management of Tate and (vi) Signing of the Tate International Agreement and Policy Documents. The offer will be in writing and may contain additional requirements based on the assessments made. Please Note: acceptance is on a first-come-first-accepted basis based on the date of receiving the signed Admission Agreement.
- Admission Fees: All fees must be paid prior to your child’s admission to Tate International School.
- Probation: Tate has a 3 month probation period for all children who join us. This period gives each child the opportunity to settle in and show progress, emotionally and academically. If after a 3-month period no progress has been made, a consultation with the child’s teacher, the Principal, the child’s parents and any other therapists and/or professionals involved with the child will be held to discuss further options. Options may include (i) reasonable adjustments that may allow the child to continue at Tate International School or (ii) provide alternative recommendations for schools that will better suit the child.
- Admission Agreement: The parent or legal guardian tuition agreement with Tate is directly with Tate International School (Pty) Ltd and not with any subsidiary, affiliated school or franchised school. This is to ensure protection for our parents and ensure that Tate International assumes responsibility for the standards and quality of the students education at Tate.
